Oh Great Cthulhu!

I have been an extremely busy devotee this year.

In April, I wore an Elder Sign (-10 points). In May, I defiled the grave of that traitor, Lovecraft (90 points). In February, I rammed a ship into you (sorry Cthulhu!) (-1000 points). In August, I prepared an ocean voyage to R'lyeh (200 points). Last week, I exposed [info]kevinpease to soul-rending horrors (250 points). In October, I legally changed my name to Randolph Carter (-40 points).

In short, I have been very bad (-510 points) and deserve to have my body used as a host for one of your servitors.

Your humble and obedient servant,
alfedenzo

Apparently you are persistent.

And then I discovered that you are the one who created this.

You are a sick, sick man.

It was a dirty job, but somebody had to do it.

Wow, nifty meme! how long did it take you to write this?

The general idea was a parody of Triggur's Santa list, so Triggur deserves credit for the general format. It seemed ubiquitous enough that I'd assumed that everyone would realize it was just a parody of his.
As for how long it took to write it, I tossed it together last night, so a couple of hours.

Harumph!
The very least you could do is give credit to the person you ripped this off from.

That's pretty dirty man, ripping off someone else's code and meme without any credit!

BTW - A word of warning. Unless your code is really well optimised, if this is as popular as the Santa Meme it's going to thrash your meme server *hard*.

I have been very good, so I am hoping for the honour of hosting one of the Great Cthulhu's servitors.

However.... would it be terribly difficult for a user to be able to choose whether they were on LiveJournal or DeadJournal? I have a feeling that many DeadJournalians would be interested in writing letters to the Great Cthulhu.

(Or maybe just me.)

(It's definitely not worth it to do it just for me.)

I'd love to (even started implementing it) but I can't find the equivalent to fdata.bml on deadjournal. (If you go to http://livejournal.com/misc/fdata.bml?user= it will list all of the user's friends). So. If you can find me something similar on Deadjournal (I really don't want to try scraping userinfo pages), or are willing to go without the names of friends, I can do something for you.

gr8 job!
I love your meme...and although you've based it on Dear Santa...you wrote the code yourself...so...that's smart...you should mention it in the meme that you wrote the code yourself...and you deidn't rip anyone off...you were just inspired...:)
and hey! I love it---for being so sci-fi and evil...
all the best!

Anyway you could make a Flying Spaghetti Monster one?

While technically possible, I don't really know enough about the catechism of the Church of the FSM to do it well.

Dear Flying Spaghetti Monster,
Last week I became a pirate (200 points). In March, I preached about your Noodly Goodness on the street (50 points). In August, I turned down a nice meal of pasta (-50 points). Yesterday, I made a suit out of spaghetti in order to get closer to you (100 points). In January, I killed a pirate (-150 points).
Overall, I have been a loyal follower (150 points and a spaghetti suit), and so ask that you provide me with a beer volcano in my back yard.

Touched by your noodly appendages,

Alfedenzo
